Education

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University. I graduated from both programs with Honors in addition to being part of the UNLV Honors program. I completed my post graduate internship working with diverse populations of individuals and psychiatric issues in a community agency, for profit psychiatric hospital, and a faith based wellness center.

Experience

I am licensed by the state of Nevada as a marriage and family therapist and have been in practice for over 5 years. My experience as a clinician is quite diverse. I have worked with individuals in private practice and agency outpatient settings as well as inpatient (acute and long-term) and partial hospitalization programs. This breadth of experience has provided me with a unique understanding and knowledge of the diversity of treatment options available in the Las Vegas valley. I have worked closely with adolescents and their families both in treatment and in facilitating teen faith formation programs. I also have experience working with juvenile sex offenders in mandated treatment.

Having grown up in Las Vegas, I respect and understand the benefits and challenges of living and working in a community like no other. I am married to a Las Vegas native, so our community roots run deep!

Integrity

There is no “cookie cutter” therapy. Your counseling will be personalized for you and your needs. My practice is capped, so that I have the time and energy to provide you with the extra attention you may require and deserve. In a commitment to education and professional ethics, I attend conferences and maintain awareness of current research and trends. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) as well as the Nevada chapter (NAMFT). While I hope we are able to create a positive therapeutic relationship, this isn’t always the case. Should either of us decide that we do not have a good fit, I will provide you with referrals for other experienced professionals.
