If you are not covered under these payor plans, I am happy to provide a receipt for services rendered to assist you in seeking reimbursement from your insurance provider.
If you have a PPO health plan, your company may reimburse a percentage of what you have already paid. You will need to check with your plan to see if they reimburse for services rendered by an "out-of-network Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist." I can provide you with a superbill form (which indicates dates, charges paid, CPT codes, and diagnosis for services) that you can then submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please keep in mind that most insurance carriers require a mental health disorder to qualify for coverage and reimbursement.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

Q: Why don’t you accept insurance?
I believe strongly in a client’s right to privacy and in my clients’ intuition. Often times, when insurance companies become a third party to treatment, a medical model of therapy is imposed upon therapist and client. While diagnostics may be necessary at times, many clients feel that therapy is an important part of their lives in coping with change of life and day to day stressors which often are not diagnosable issues. I am conscious of diagnostic labels and how they may effect my clients and feel that this is information best kept between therapist and client.
Cancellation without 24hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of the full cost of the missed session.
